Carlo Rivelli, son of a wealthy industrialist, meets Rita, the beautiful mistress of a powerful banker and falls in love with her. When Rita breaks off with the banker he plans his revenge. When he cuts off Rivelli’s lines of credit, bankruptcy seems inevitable.
